InSite Engineering provided Professional Engineering, Planning, and Surveying services for the recent major renovations to The Block in Long Branch.  We collaborated with the incredible visionaries at The Block to help them achieve their goals for their restaurant and meat distribution services.  The site plan was the result of creative efforts by The Block’s entire design team to tie together existing and proposed improvements.  Construction is now complete, and the result is incredible!  The site improvements and building look like they have been there for many decades, yet much of it is brand new!  We applaud The Block’s construction team for such masterful construction artistry. 

InSite’s role in this extraordinarily exciting project was to provide a better onsite parking lot, site lighting, covered porches, outdoor dining areas, ADA improvements, and circulation, as well as improvements to nearby properties for valet parking.  The Block includes a beautiful rustic entrance and valet stand, where visitors may drop off their cars for valet to offsite valet lots.  Visitors then proceed through the outdoor plaza prior to entering the building.  The outdoor plaza features gardens, water features, and outdoor dining areas which create a wonderfully immersive experience for visitors.  Outdoor dining was a key focus for this project in response to the recent COVID pandemic. The site features tasteful landscaping and lighting that accentuates the customers dining experience during the day and nighttime.  InSite remained involved during construction to provide engineering and compliance guidance.
