These regulatory changes were adopted in response to NJDEP\u2019s Protecting Again Climate Threats (\u201cPACT\u201d) initiative. This first round of PACT regulatory changes increase the extent of State-regulated flood hazard areas associated with non-tidal (fluvial) waterbodies, increase volumes of stormwater that must be accommodated in stormwater management design, and are likely to have broad implications for development across the State.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The next PACT regulatory proposal will impact NJDEP land use regulations governing development in coastal areas, tidal flood hazard areas, and freshwater wetlands.
